Sayyad Amjad Ali is best known for his mastery of filigree metalwork and kundan meena (mughal art) techniques, unique jewellery and unusual embellishments.
He is an honest ethical friendly and charismatic professional who adores his work.
The greatest knowledge is passed from generation to generation, so Ali is the son and grandson of goldsmiths - learned from childhood to create beautiful designs and unique jewellery using precious metals - yellow and white gold, platinum and silver as well as highest quality gems and pearls.
He is called a metal doctor... With his help old and broken jewellery becomes lively and valuable.

Amjad Ali grew up in Jaipur – a city in Rajasthan known as a largest exporter of golden jewellery and precious stones in Asia.
Ali’s family tree grows out of Saudi Arabia - the Mughal Empire that was founded by Babur (reigned 1526–1530). And it was more than 100 years back when his great-grandfather took the horse ride from Delhi to Jaipur to start a jewellery business there. He got a personal invitation from Jaipur king because he was famous as a great goldsmith with unique knowledge in East India Company (British colonisers).
1982 his father opened the shop in the Jaipur at the area Chaksu ka Chowk on the street Haldiyon ka Rasta at the Johari Bazaar (Jewellery market) with his name - Liyaqat Ali Sadakar- on it.
Ali’s uncle, Akbar Ali, opened jewellery and workshop “Universal Gem Palace” in Jaipur as well at M.I road (Mirza Ismail Road) that had his uncles name- Akbar- in 1976 to 1986. Now this place is the biggest jewellery market in the heart of Jaipur and it is known as Chameli market (jasmine market). All of the old business owners know who Akbar Ali is and who is Amjad Ali. From his childhood Ali spent all his free time in his father’s workshop to learn the skill of goldsmith and help his father. Every artist is unique and every art is special. Amjad Ali’s art is full of love he has for people, nature and life.
Ali knows the language of precious metals and stones - he understands them and finds the best match for customers. He harmonises the sole of person with jewellery. When other masters can't do the job, they bring it to Amjad - they know that he will do it! Amjad Ali has trained over 50 goldsmiths who have acquired the secrets of the skill from him. He has ability to explain and guide very well. His students feel honoured to learn from him!
Amjad Ali's dream is to share his ancient knowledge of jewellery art around the world - establish an educational institution: The Academy of Ancient Jewellery Art and preserve the knowledge of jewellers’ dynasty that tends to sink into oblivion in today's world of technology. Jewellery museum and gallery, workshop and school - this is his vision!
Amjad Ali worked for over 20 years with his father and brothers – in the summer in Jaipur and from October up to May in Goa. 2021 he organised his own company and workshop - Solotar Jewellery. He and his team have a great opportunity to share with people the beauty of nature that artists have shaped into jewellery. It is not easy to find the work of the master from his childhood. There are some samples made by order when he was 16 years old. If you look at them it is enough to understand that this person is God gifted talent. Material is Gold what is made with zircons and pearls. It is common to use cheap stones in high carat gold. High quality gold what is in demand in India not strong enough to hold the stones well so instead of expensive stones masters are using imitation gem stones for example red ruby emerald. NB!
